Frequently Asked Questions

Registrations refers to the number of users that have registered for all of your events.

If you exceed this limit, new users who register won't receive email reminders for your event and may not be able to join the chat.

For example, if your registration limit is 5,000 and you have 6,000 registrations, only the first 5,000 users who registered will receive email reminders, and the maximum number of users who can join the chat would also be 5,000.

Need more registrations than our standard plans offer? Contact support and we'll work with you ahead of time to get the necessary server resources allocated to you.

No -- there's no contract. You can cancel at any time.

If you cancel before the end of the billing cycle, your plan will still be active until the end of the billing cycle.

For example, if you purchase the monthly Pro plan on January 1st, and cancel on January 5th, you'd still be able to use all of the features of the Pro plan until the end of January.

Absolutely! There's no limit on the amount of events you can create, but limits such as the maximum amount of event registrants, RTMPS Streaming and Video Uploads are shared across all of your events.

Note: RTMPS Streaming and Video Uploads are optional add-ons. You can use 3rd party providers such as YouTube or Vimeo at no extra cost.

You can embed videos and livestreams using YouTube, Vimeo or stream directly using RTMPS.

You can also insert custom HTML code for any other provider using the page editor.

RTMPS Streaming and Video Uploads are available as add-ons at per hour per viewer.

For example, if you have a 1 hour long event with 1000 viewers, this would be per month.

These add-ons are entirely optional -- you can use external providers such as YouTube and Vimeo at no extra cost.

The recurring billing date will be the current date. For example, if you sign up for a monthly plan for the first time on January 1, all future charges will be billed on the 1st of every month.
If you currently have a paid plan for one of your chats and upgrade to a higher priced plan, the following happens:

  • Your event will immediately be upgraded and you will get the benefits of the upgraded plan
  • The funds paid on the previous plan will be pro-rated based on the amount of days until the end of the billing cycle. The pro-rated amount of funds will count as a credit at the start of the new billing cycle
  • The cost of the new plan will be pro-rated based on the amount of days until the end of the billing cycle
  • At the beginning of the next billing cycle, you will be charged the full cost of the upgraded plan for that month in addition to the pro-rated cost of the new plan minus the pro-rated amount paid on the previous plan.
  • Your event will be downgraded at the end of your current billing cycle
  • Your renewal price will be adjusted to reflect the cost of the lower priced plan
  • At the beginning of the next billing cycle, you will be charged the full cost of the lower priced plan for that month minus the amount of credit from the pro-rated funds previously paid.
  • You can change your billing frequency from monthly to annual, but not the other way around. If you need to switch from annual to monthly billing, please contact us.
    If you switch from monthly to annual billing, your next billing date will change to a year from the time the change was made, and a payment will be attempted for the amount owed.

    For example, if you paid for the Pro Monthly Plan on November 1st, and switched to the Pro Annual Plan on November 6th, you would not be charged until November 6th of the following year. In addition, you would be charged $1660 ($1800 - (($175 - ($175/30 * 6)))) immediately.
    If you are moving from a lower-priced plan to a higher-priced plan, you are charged as follows:
  • Pro-rata remaining days = # of days remaining in the current billing cycle / # of total days in the billing cycle
  • Credit for unused lower priced plan = price of lower plan * pro-rata remaining days
  • Debit for remaining higher-priced plan = price of higher plan * pro-rata remaining days
  • Amount Due = Debit for higher-priced plan - Credit of lower-priced plan 

  • For example: You subscribe to the Pro plan ($175/month) on June 1st and upgrade to the Business ($599/month) plan on June 15th, with your next billing date being July 1st.

    Pro-rata remaining days = 0.5 (15/30)
    Credit for unused lower-priced plan = $87.50 (175 * 0.5)
    Debit for remaining higher-priced plan = $299.50 (599 * 0.5)
    Amount Due = $212.00 (299.50 - 87.50)
    Upon upgrading, you'll be immediately charged the pro-rated amount due ($212.00). On July 1st (your next billing date), you'll be charged $599.00 as this is the cost of your upgraded plan.

    If you are moving from a higher-priced plan to a lower-priced plan, your current plan will apply until the end of your current billing cycle.

    On your next billing date, you will be charged the cost of the lower-priced plan.
    Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of your order. To request a refund, please contact support with your order details and reason for the request and we'll review it. If you opt to cancel your subscription, you retain premium features for the duration of your subscription period.

    In some circumstances, we may issue a partial or full refund. Such decisions are handled on a case-by-case basis. All requests must be sent directly to Minnit LTD via our Support System.
    New users can use the free trial to try out almost all of the premium features. No payment information is required to get the free trial.

    This includes all features on the Business plan except for the following:
    • Registrations limited to the same as the Free plan
    • No vanity subdomain
    • Custom domains cannot be used
    If you are eligible for the trial, you will see a "Use Free trial" button as well as dialog menu appear if you select the Free tier. Each user is only allowed 1 free trial.
    All payments are securely handled by Stripe. Minnit LTD does not view or record your payment details.
